Determined to mete out justice, he rescues a beautiful witness who may be the key to helping him find the perpetrators.

Dr. Kalli Williams, dedicated veterinarian, is hiding a secret that endangers not only her own life but the lives of wolves across the country. As Kalli places herself in the hands of the dominant wolf, she soon finds she wants nothing more than to submit.

Tristan, committed to ruling his pack as a lone wolf, is inexplicably drawn to the mysterious and enticing woman, who seems more than human, but not quite supernatural. As he discovers her secret, he teaches her the meaning of trust, helping her learn how to be true to her nature. After living a lifetime alone, will he succumb to the visceral need to claim her, acknowledging the soul binding connection between an Alpha and his mate? And will he prevail against the menacing enemy who threatens to destroy Lyceum Wolves?

EXCERPT:

"Yes,” was the only word he heard in response to his proposal; Luca lost control. Passionately and provocatively, he took her with a hungry urgency. It wasn’t sweet. His mouth claimed hers, savagely taking what was his. The intoxicating nectar of Samantha only made him kiss her more deeply. He wanted her in a way that he’d never wanted any woman. Determined to possess every part of her body and mind in the moment, he would claim her tonight. She’d be his forever.

Luca tore his lips from hers. “Bedroom. Now,” he commanded. Leading her by her small soft hand, he stopped her before they got to his bed.

“I will have you tonight, Samantha. After tonight, you’ll never forget that you are mine. And I will be yours.”

Samantha silently nodded in response. She was ready to commit to this man, this vampire. Luca was everything she’d ever wanted in a male: strong, loving, trustworthy, and passionate. She knew in her heart that giving herself over to him was all she desired now and for her future.

Luca unraveled the belt on her robe, slid his fingers underneath the soft fabric and slowly pushed it off Samantha, letting his hands glide from the smooth skin of her shoulders to her hands. As the robe pooled at her feet, he gently took her hands in his. She stood bare before his eyes. “You’re enticing, Samantha. I cannot seem to get enough of you. So the question is, do you want to play with me tonight? Be honest with me, darlin’, because I plan to take you to places we’ve never been before.”

Samantha felt womanly, exposed to Luca. She trusted him completely as he released her hands and placed his on her waist. “Luca, please, hurry. I can’t seem to keep my hands off of you.”

“Well, I guess we’ll have to do something about that,” he smiled knowingly. “Turn around, face the wall. Don’t move unless I tell you. It’s time for some fun.”

Without question, she complied and waved her bottom at him, shooting him a sultry look that said, ‘come and get me’.

Luca loved how responsive she was under his direction. He didn’t ever bring women into his home, and certainly engaging in a little light bdsm was something he rarely did anymore. Yet he’d wanted to do this to her since the minute she’d danced with him in the club. Luca slid his hands slowly up the sides of her waist, under her arms, pushing them upward and placing the palms of her hands against the wall. With the same precision, he glided his hands back down her arms, waist, until finally, he reached her bottom.

“Samantha, you are everything I’ve ever wanted in a woman; beautiful, smart.” She let out a small moan; he rubbed his hard aching bulge against her. He wanted to fuck her right now, but he wouldn’t dare. No, he planned to make her beg for mercy as he slowly brought her to orgasm over and over.

Though he was still fully clothed, she could feel his magnificent erection against her bum. She wanted him in her now; she grew wet from the intense ache between her legs. “Please, Luca.”

His hands slid from her ass around to lie just beneath her sensitive bosom. She moved slightly to urge him to cup her breasts. He smiled, smelling the overwhelming scent of her desire, but he wanted to draw out the anticipation, tease her with delight. “No, no, no, darlin’. Not tonight. You don’t get to decide when or how the pleasure happens. You wanted to play, so play we shall,” he whispered into her ear. Goosebumps ran over her skin in response to his hot breath. “Tonight is about wanting what you can’t have until I give it to you. It’s about me savoring every stroke of your flesh. The ultimate pleasure, tasting you while you come, screaming my name. Now, do you want me to touch your lovely breasts? Tell me, Samantha.”

Guest Post by Kym Grosso:

Hi Everyone!  I would like to thank A Bibliophiles Thoughts on Books for hosting me today on my virtual book tour for Luca’s Magic Embrace.  I really appreciate the opportunity to stop by and share a guest post with readers.  This post is about is about the popular trend of creating playlists for novels. Whether we prefer the solitude of a quiet library, music playing or the buzz of the city around us, everyone has a personal preference for how we like to read our books.  How do you like to read your books?  In silence?  With music?  Hope you enjoy my take on playlists for books.

My personal hobbies are reading, listening to music, and silence. ~Edith Sitwell

Book Playlists, a Novel Idea

Intrigued by the idea of a playlist, I matched music with the scenes and storyline in my book.  When I finished creating the playlist, I was amazed at how naturally music fits with books.   Even though it is a subjective process and therefore, subject to individual interpretation, music and books can be an enhancement to the written word and the overall experience of reading a book.
When we read, we unconsciously engage our five senses, immersing ourselves into another world. While it is true that we deliberately use our eyes to read the words, we also automatically visualize what is happening the book.  We see pictures in our head of the characters, locations, etc.  And while we do not actually smell anything, we connect the descriptions in the book with familiar smells from our own memories.  We can also conceptualize the feel of textures, when described in detail.  For example, as we read “He ran his hands over her silky smooth skin,” we think of touching something soft as silk, not rough or calloused.
When we read about sounds described in a book, like the beeping of a horn, or a driving techno beat playing in a club, we can almost hear it in our minds.  In Luca’s Magic Embrace, there is a scene where Luca and Samantha dance to Nina Simone’s, I Put a Spell on You, where literally, there is music within my book.  Even with the scenes where there’s no music, the drama and action could easily flow with a soundtrack.
So it does seem that music and books are synergistic.  But what will readers do with the playlists?  For some people, music can enhance the reading experience.  And for those who prefer to read silence, the playlist can provide him/her with song ideas to listen to before or after reading the book.  While a playlist is simply a collection of songs, it is yet another wonderful way to engage the reader’s senses.  The creation of a playlist is a creative process that has potential to show readers an author’s perspective on the book.  But the question remains: Will the playlist match up with songs the readers think should go with the book?  Maybe yes, maybe no.  In either case, it is a fun process and certainly worth a read and a listen.
So it is with great pleasure that I share my playlist for Luca’s Magic Embrace.  Happy reading and listening!
Music is the universal language of mankind. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Guest Post by Kym Grosso:

Hi Everyone! I would like to thank A Bibliophile's
Thoughts on Books for hosting me today on my
virtual book tour for Kade’s Dark Embrace. I really
appreciate the opportunity to stop by and share a
guest post with readers. This post is about is about
locations for novels. What locations do you prefer
to read about in books? Snow covered mountains?
Beaches? Urban settings? Exotic, faraway
countries? Familiar locals? Whatever your
preference, I do hope you enjoy my take on
locations in books.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~Mark Twain

*****
Location, Location, Location

Reading a book can take us away to a faraway country or to Mom & Pop’s hometown diner. One minute we can be reading about a bustling urban street and then in the next chapter, we are reading about horses in the fields of Kentucky. Some locations we may know like the back of our hand. But other locations, we visualize the setting through the author’s eyes. As a reader, one of my favorite things about reading is being able to learn about a new place; one filled with its own distinct characteristics. And interestingly enough, that is also what I love about traveling.
As a traveler, my favorite thing to do when I go on vacation is to learn about the local culture, arts and cuisine. From a visiting a haunted plantation and eating jerk chicken in Jamaica to touring a Voodoo museum and eating beignets in New Orleans, our senses are teased and tickled along our journey. As an author, I try my very best to describe those extraordinary smells, tastes, sounds and sights for the reader. From the urban streets of Philadelphia to New Orleans, each city celebrates its own uniqueness.

My novel, Kade’s Dark Embrace, begins in Penn’s Landing, which is located on the Delaware riverfront in Philadelphia. Several chapters later, the main characters are whisked away to New Orleans where they end up in the Garden district, French Quarter and Warehouse district. Sydney eats beignets at the famous Café du Monde, and window shops antiques down Royal Street. They also end up in St. Louis Cemetery where Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo Queen of New Orleans, is buried.

While writing can certainly conjure up imaginative descriptions, researching locations can help to bring a hint of reality to fictional novels. Weaving historical facts and pictures into our stories brings readers a step closer to experiencing a place they may have never traveled. Likewise, they can bring a different perspective to a location that we may not have considered.

Between Philadelphia and New Orleans, both cities are rich in history and culture; each with its own tastes, sounds and sights. As much as I’d love to bring readers a hot, sugary beignet or a Philly cheesesteak, the only way to share this experience is through the words of my book. Or in this case, through photographs. I hope you enjoy a few personal photos of the locations within Kade’s Dark Embrace.
