Waiting on Wednesday (#3): Lenobia's Vow by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's eagerly anticipated release is:

Lenobia's Vow (House of Night Novellas #2)
by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

Expected publication: January 31st 2012 by St. Martin's Griffin
The second in the enthralling new mini-series of novellas from the #1 bestselling authors of the House of Night, Lenobia's Vow tells the gripping story behind the House of Night's enigmatic riding instructor – and one of Zoey’s closest allies against evil.

The House of Night is an international publishing sensation; with almost 12 million books in print, and an incredible 120 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, the series has taken the world by storm. Now, the excitement continues as the Cast mother-daughter duo shares the back stories of a few of the House of Night's most important – and mysterious – characters. The second of the House of Night Novellas brings us Lenobia, the strong, beautiful horseback riding instructor, who guides Zoey through some of her darkest hours, and has a dark secret buried in her own past...

In a small southern town at the turn of the century, young Lenobia is developing into a beautiful young woman with ideas of her own. But when she is Marked as a fledgling vampyre, her world turns upside down, and she is drawn to the musical streets of New Orleans. There, she learns of the city’s dark underbelly, ruled by powerful black magic. As Lenobia experiences her first love – and loss – and discovers a passion for horses to sustain her, she must come face-to-face with Darkness itself. And she may not escape without scars.
I'm really looking forward to reading Lenobia's story. I'm just hoping it's not a heartbreaking as Dragon's story was. Destined was a great intoduction to Lenobia's story, and I can't wait to see where it goes and how it leads to the next House of Night book.

  1. Hello, Great pick, I have heard so many great things about the house of night series, but I haven't read any yet, I have some sitting here tho, I must get on it.

  2. A House of Night Novella? As much as I LOVE the cover, I don't think I'll be reading this. I kind of liked some of the HoN books, but most didn't really do it for me. But this series has LOADS of fans, so I'm sure there are many, many people looking forward to this. Thanks for sharing and commenting on my post! :)

  3. I have the first one to read and will definitely read this one as well!

  4. I've only read the first two in the series, so it will be a while before I can read this. Good choice!

    My WOW

  5. I haven't read anything out of the House of Night series yet but I hear it is good. Just so many books I have on my TBR. Hope you enjoy it! Happy Reading! Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  6. I have given up trying to read all the little short stories!! Theres too many!!!

  7. @Samjam G Really? There's only been one novella (Dragon's Oath) in the House of Night series released so far. I think it's a good idea to read the novellas in-between the HoN books because some things won't make sense in the next HoN book if you don't. Like it's a good idea to read Dragon's Oath before Destined, and Lenobia's Vow before the next HoN book, Hidden. But it's ultimately up to you, I just thought I'd give my opinion.

  8. I wasn't able to get into this series but it's been forever since i read book I I'm tempted to give it another shot!
