I have never bought a book because it had a negative review. If I was interested in a book I would buy it whether it had a bad review or not. I would probably be intrigued by a book though, if it was getting a lot of negativity.
Hm, it's not common, but I have checked out books partly because of a negative review, although I've never purchased one outright. There are some reviewers whose tastes I know well enough that I can figure out whether I might like a book even if they don't, though.
I love your answer! It's pretty rare that I let a review sway me one way or the other - I usually pick up books because they intrigue me in one way or another!
I really like your answer, I normally do the same thing myself. But, there have been a few times, where I have gone ahead and bought a book despite a bad review just because I was curious and wanted to see what the hype was all about. Fortunately, I actually ended up liking the books most of the time.
New follower for sure, love what you've got going on with your blog. :)
Agreed! I really try to not let reviews influence my decision. Following!

I haven't ever bought a book because of a bad review. I like having money in my bank account. If I bought all the books I'd be broke.

I think library loans (or free downloads for that matter) would all count in the spirit of the question :)
