In those days in the small towns of West Virginia, we didn't have cameras that could take a picture in color.
-Snow in Summer by Jane Yolen
I'm thinking it must have been a while ago if you couldn't take a color photo.
Didn't have cameras that took color pictures, but I think that implies that cameras were around. So, long ago, but not ancient! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for continuing to play along! (Make sure to check the post every week, as I'm playing around with the rules a little!)
It takes place in the 1940's, I think. So it really wasn't that long ago. I'll be sure to keep checking out the post every week. Thanks for the heads-up!
DeleteI never heard of this book before, I'll have to check it out. I like books set in the old times.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. :)
You're very welcome! :) Snow in Summer takes place in the 1940's in the mountains of West Virginia. It's a pretty good re-telling of Snow White.
DeleteOoh, sounds interesting, just before modern cropped up in spades, but before there was nothing at all. Sounds interesting! Happy reading! :)
