SWOON Thursday (#7): Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

Hosted by YA Bound

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering. Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog! We want to know :-)

Here's mine (it's a double-feature this week)

(Will SWOON):

For a moment their mouths pressed hotly together, Will's free hand tangling in her hair. Tessa gasped when his arms pulled her hard against him. She put her hands lightly around his neck; his skin was burning hot to the touch. Through the thin wet material of his shirt, she could feel the muscles of his shoulders, hard and smooth.

(Jem SWOON):

He did something that surprised her then, and took her hand, turning it over. She looked down at it, at her bitten fingernails, the still-healing scratches along the backs of her fingers.

He kissed the back of it, just a light touch of his mouth, and his hair--as soft and light as silk--brushed her wrist as he lowered his head. She felt a shock go through her, strong enough to startle her, and she stood speechless as he straightened, his mouth curving into a smile.

  1. I just read Clockwork Angel, recently. I love jem! :) But right now I'm reading 'Blood Promise,' by Richelle Mead. Dimitri *swoon* is pretty sweet.

    1. I like Jem, too, but in Clockwork Angel I lean more toward Will. There's just something about those Herondale boys.

  2. Nice! Choosing one from both Will and Jem. I need to re-read Clockwork angel and then read Clockwork Prince.

    1. When there's a triangle like this, if I can find SWOONs for both the guys, I like posting something for both. I'm really excited to start Clockwork Prince. I'm still waiting for it from the library, though. :(

    1. I took me a while to finally read Clockwork Angel, too. There's just not enough time to read all these great books. But I'm really glad I finally got the chance to read it.
